Winter is HERE!

Building has slowed and the weather is part of the reason why. We are getting closer to finishing up my house though. The replacement inverter/charger has been installed. There are plenty of other jobs to do, but it is all finish work at this point. Each thing completed gets me closer to moving in.

  1. Looks livable to me. Do you have heat? Given the size and how well insulated it is I wouldn’t expect you would need much. I’m thinking of a Dickenson Diesel heater … nice, dry heat. Keep up the good work. Say hi to the family for me.

    • Hi Jim,

It does heat easily. The furnace is a forced air rv unit that runs on propane. The electric is mostly done. The drawers and cabinets need finishing as well as a bit of plumbing. Then I can move in, but I’m holding off for now because I don’t want to live in a construction zone. Hope all is well with you.

    • Trying to finish interior before moving in so not living in my build site. Yes, we have heat. I have a nice rv propane furnace that runs with a thermostat so easy to deal with when I’m gone to work daily. The place is basically liveable but needs to be moved and connected to the septic system when we get better weather.

  2. I love your project! My name is Whitney, I am completing a Certificate at Yestermorrow Design Build school in Warren, VT. For my project I am researching the availability of homeowners insurance for tiny homes. If you own a tiny home please take a few moments to fill out this survey.
