The counter top has been put in place and the sink installed. Part of the old counter, that we messed up, was used as a cabinet top that will be part of my ladder to the loft and used as a “landing”.
Dad recently added the outside water fill access and fill pipes to easily top up my water tanks. The plumbing is nearing completion. The shower needs to be connected to the water system and then it will be time to test the system for leaks by using it.
The weather slowed my progress for a week or so, as it was 10 degrees and bitter out. I have heat in the house but not in the garage where we do our sawing and much of our preparations. Since the weather has been nicer at a warm 32 degrees, I’ve found more motivation to work on building after my full-time job. The last couple nights were long, but I’ve completed the pine board ceiling below both lofts. This finishing touch makes everything appear closer to finished.
There is more trim work to complete to make the ceilings look “finished”. I need to close in the wire channels along both walls. The ladder needs to be built and installed. We also have more work to complete the plumbing and septic. Also many drawers and cabinets need to be completed before I can move in, but we are getting closer to that time.
